Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a young boy was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and applying restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen rockets struck energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were wounded.

The attacks follow nights of air raids in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the national power system, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
