The musician has decided to hand the money over to the Music Venues Trust, in acknowledgment of the crucial part small stages fulfilled in his initial steps.
"I personally couldn't be pursuing my current career if it weren't for all the shows I performed around the area, and further afield, when I was beginning," stated Sam Fender. "These venues are legendary, but they are struggling."
Beginning in 2023, more than 150 of these locations have permanently closed – roughly 16% of the total UK scene.
In the last year, major artists such as Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the Music Venues Trust in its initiatives to help venues survive, by applying a modest fee to their ticket costs, which goes to help local stages.
Sam Fender also took part, raising in excess of £100,000 on his 2024 arena tour to help numerous grassroots venues across Britain.
The donation supported locations that were dealing with imminent closure due to challenges stemming from flooding, fires and personal losses, as well as licensing issues, legal disputes and sound issues.
Some locations received financial assistance in modernizing infrastructure and gear that positively impacted performers and audiences.
"The concept that funds from performances in major spaces helps the independent spots, where it all starts for musicians like me, is just common sense," the star has commented.

Recently, the MVT revealed it had saved a couple of grassroots venues in that region, by placing them under local control.
The Joiners in Southampton and the other in Bristol were acquired under the community ownership initiative, which is funded by a national body and music fans who buy "stakes" in the venues.
